Description: This position is a cost accounting development position located at a large, dynamic multi business unit site picked as one of the growth sites in North America for BASF Corporation. The Geismar site houses numerous service functions as well as several business unit management groups that allow employees tremendous opportunity for cross functional career path growth.

This position will be responsible for analysis and reporting of manufacturing plant cost accounting data. The candidate will be able to interpret and analyze manufacturing variances and work with the appropriate plant personnel for timely corrective action. The incumbent will be proactive in providing guidance to plant personnel in the application of BASF financial policies. He/she will conduct inventory audits, develop manufacturing cost rates, spending budgets and forecasts and provide various financial reports. This position reports to the site accounting manager and interfaces with plant management, business financial management, business liaisons, the business accounting platform, internal and external audit, and several functional and site service groups.
