Description: The Accounting Professional Development Program (PDP) provides exposure to various corporate level accounting, finance, and international audit functions. Program participants may work on tasks related to Monthly financial closings, Accounting research, Financial statement development and analysis, and Internal audit concepts and procedures. The program develops presentation and writing skills, while also providing exposure to various reporting standards and platforms.

Favorite Role Aspects: I appreciated the ability to see multiple functions within the organization, and also the opportunity to meet many people of different backgrounds and professions.
Least Favorite Role Aspects: BASF is a large company with many locations, and program participants are expected to be mobile. This is not something I dislike; however, it is worth noting that the company expects individuals in the program to be willing to relocate.
Happiness in Role: Extremely Happy

Favorite Employer Aspects: BASF cares about its employees and highly values their professional development and work-life balance.
Least Favorite Employer Aspects: It’s important that companies offer career development/continuing education opportunities for it’s employees, from entry-level employees to executives.
Happiness with Employer: Extremely Happy
